Colleen graduated from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM in 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a Master’s degree in accounting with a concentration in tax in 2019.  Colleen became a Certified Public Accountant in February 2022.  She began her career with a firm based in Albuquerque, NM where she quickly began specializing in nonprofit organizations.  In addition, Colleen served a wide range of clients with tax planning and compliance in a variety of industries, ranging from small to high-net-worth individuals and businesses.  Colleen was with the firm for seven years and advanced to the position of tax manager.  She departed the firm to focus on serving nonprofits with SSB in August 2024.  Outside of work, Colleen enjoys exercising, playing video games, crafts, spending time with her dogs and husband.
